WiFi Bandits

Two Women, Two shades of Red, and One dream to get in a car and try our luck out West. Wifi will be stolen, legs may get cramped, and showers may be few and far between. But there will be laughs, there will be lots of pictures, and there will be lots and lots of singing.

Theres no place like home..

My flight got in last night and I am now back on the East coast.

It's true, there really is no place like home. Though, technically I'm not really home yet. I'm hiding out at my parents place because I didn't want to jump right back into my usual life.
I've seen so many wonderful places in the last few weeks. But none of them are like home at all. New Orleans is so much brighter, Santa Fe is so much more...adobe shaped, Texas is shockingly green and full of art and music. And Nevada is just empty. I mean, there is nothing there. Except for Vegas, which can be over whelming but beautiful in its own way. I loved taking in the man made beauty after no much natural wonder. But I enjoyed being with my girls even more.

Arizona is red and beautiful and parts of it have refused to step into the present. D.C is full of our history that current politicians and their B.S. have made it hard for me to care about or take pride in, which is just awful. But it has one of the most generous and hospitable men I have ever met. Philly is quirky and has too much cheese whiz. New York is, as always, fast paced and a little too scary for me. But it is home to some of the best and most wonderful women in the world. California will always make me smile more and feel happy and excited about being alive. Parts of SF even remind me of Boston. It has one of my wonderful brothers and the life he has made for himself there. It's not home yet, but I will make sure to change that in the next few years.

And I've left out so much. So many landscapes that I have dreamed of seeing on more than just TV and postcards. We saw so much but there is still so much more. And I did it all with one of my best friends. I spent three weeks of easy travel due to the best travel partner a girl could ask for. We unlocked the key to an easy road trip. It has something to do with flexible itineraries and supporting each other in accomplishing the things that we have always wanted.

Lianne is starting her life in LA tomorrow and I become a student again in the fall. These last three weeks have left us with a lifetime of memories and laughs. Seriously, when can I start planning to get back out there and find America again?

Im expecting to wake up from dreams or just day dreaming with more memories and moments of our time as red-headed wifi bandits. And Ill try to put them here for anyone whose interested in taking their own trip or just hearing more about mine. But really, you should take your own trip. America is here for us and so few actually take the time to go see it.
